Milpitas High School
Milpitas, CA

I am currently a Highschool student in Milpitas High School who found a passion in photography and videography in late 2024. I first did photography for my Taekwondo teammates, having the chance to compete as a USA National Team member in both 2021 and 2023. The first time I brought my camera was to one of my competitions to capture moments of my team and friends when I couldn't compete due to a fractured ankle during the summer of 2023. I found a passion into photography, carrying it in my school by leading and establishing the first Milpitas High School Media Team for the Athletics Department. Here is where I found my interests in sports photography. It took me a while to understand and find my unique style of art that stands out to my audience but still exploring and learning as I go. Later in late November, a basketball player from the school asked me if I could do video. This then sparked my journey into Videography. Having known that I've only been doing videography for a few months, I had an opportunity to work with Olympians during an International Table Tennis Competition and had an honor to work as a personal videographer for a real estate agent as well as a De Anza College football coach. As I'm still expanding and gain experience, I find that networking is most important for learning. My biggest goal's in life as a teenage is to build my name and eventually find my way traveling and capturing video for a sports team. Additionally, I have found a passion in Filmmaking but don't know much about it as I'm struggling with storytelling and color grading. I have also found inspiration online from famous content creators such as Sam Newton. On the side, I also have an interest in Semiconducting making computer chips for technology. As I thought, I have a big passion for films and camera operating but also want to make an impact to society by making technology that can help the future generations and improve the way humans live. I'm only seventeen and one of my motives are to learn young and start young to prove adults that young kids can make a difference and also show people that it's never too late or too early to start something. I want to inspire people through cinematic videos and inspire future generations through the use of social media. To add on, I was inspired by Gee Kin Chou when he talked about the Boombox organization as a guest speaker for one of my duel enrollment classes at SJCC.
