I am a first-generation student and a 'self-starter' in the truest sense. My journey began in a remote village in China, where financial hardship taught me the value of persistence at a very young age. To pursue my ambition of a dignified, self-determined life, I self-sponsored my move to the United States at 25. Since then, I have balanced a demanding work life—including several years as a caregiver—with a rigorous academic path, maintaining a 4.0 GPA.

I possess what I call a 'Quality Scanner' mindset: I am naturally organized, detail-oriented, and highly reflective. While my background is in business and computer science, my heart is deeply rooted in aesthetics and human health; I have a passion for art and photography as well as a dedicated, healthy lifestyle. At 31, I am navigating a pivot from the isolated world of technology toward clinical practice.
