Todd Miller

Registered Nurse (retired)

ER

Kaiser Permanente

Oakland, CA

When I was middle aged I felt the need for a career change. I had been working in Public Health but I wanted a more direct & immediate connection to those I was hoping to help. So I went back to school to get a degree in nursing. After graduation I got a job in the emergency dept at a hospital in Oakland. I LOVED it!! The main reason was that most of the time nurses get an Immediate reaction to what you have done to try & help the patient. Another great thing about being a nurse (at least for bedside nursing) is that EVERY shift is different. I was NEVER bored at work. I have also trained nurse in Cuba, Burma, and other southeast Asian countries.
